From teacher to artist

Eline Muriël was first a primary school and high-school teacher but she felt like she couldn’t really use her creativity and creative mindset while she was teaching.

That’s when she decided to start her own company: Dream Teacher. To help kids to develop their dreams and creative skills. She influenced hundreds of kids, teenagers and teachers but longed to do even more. She dreamed of what it could look like to use that creative mindset of hers.

Eline Muriël was born

In 2018 she started a new company with her husband: 3D Next Level. They are specialized in (XXL) 3D printing and make a lot of art pieces for artists and campaigns with modern techniques like 3D printing and 3D designing.

Sculptures for artists, exhibitions and campaigns: Eline designs it all. As the company grew she felt more and more that she wanted to make her own art. “When I was visiting New York for an exhibition piece we’ve made for the Guggenheim Museum I walked through the Guggenheim and suddenly I felt goosebumps. I knew at that moment: ‘this is what I want to do. Make my own art. Create.’

Back in her office she designed her first very own art piece… “Eline Muriël” was born. After that piece she started to make more. It became a goal: to make sculptures about the things she cared about.

Eline is still also the creative director of 3D Next Level.

Inspiration

Her work seems like an explosion of pop art and concept design. Eline: ‘’I love popart artists. I like to build on art that already exists but I also make new concepts and designs. Creativity is key. Social justice, current events are some of my inspirations. But my faith is my biggest inspiration. As well as being a business owner and mum: I have five kids.’’

Techniques

Eline uses modern techniques like computer designing, 3D modeling and 3D printing. She is always looking for new ways of finishing and polishing.

Most of the sculptures are in 3D-print resin or real bronze. But there’s a wide range of coatings and special ones like gold plated, metal and chrome. The testing of new materials and coatings are a lot of fun. Eline is always open for new ideas.

Mission

Eline: ‘’Art is so much more than a nice painting on the wall or a sculpture in a gallery.”

“Art is supposed to evoke thinking which results in action. Love without kind deeds isn’t love. Love is action. I want to inspire others to speak out about social issues and injustice. Be that superhero. Stir up. Speak up. Get excited and go. Go and live those dreams. You can do things so much more creatively, exciting. Think big and outside the box. Art is making a statement with a smile -not a fist.’’ Eline wants to bring positive changes into the world. She seeks collaborations with organizations that share the same message. She creates 3D art for exhibitions and museums but also for places who need an artistic boost like hotels, businesses, organizations, homes etc. But it’s always for people. She wants to inspire other artists and creatives to really see themselves for who they are and blossom.
